“Go into all the world and uproclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
a young couple from Germany. God has burdened us with the situation that unreached people are in: LOST. We want to serve Him together among unreached people groups.
Friedhelm (Frieddy): I was born in Berlin, Germany and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior when I was about 5 years old. I was introduced to tribal missions at a Christian conference in my junior year in High School. I’ve never heard
before of the sobering reality of 2500 unreached people groups without the Gospel.
The missionaries speaking at this conference also opened my eyes for my responsibility in reaching the lost with the Gospel. The commandment in the Gospels was clear: “Go!”
After graduating from High School in 2007 I took a 6 week-long missions trip with NTM to Papua New Guinea called Interface. I worked as an intern at the interface campus for another 6 weeks.
Coming back from my 3 month in Papua New Guinea I started nursing school with the goal of tribal missions in mind and graduated in 2010, one day before our wedding.
I was born in Western Germany but my parents moved into the eastern part to be missionaries. When I was 11 years old I understood that I am a sinner and in need of a savior. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and received new life through His death on the cross. I was introduced to New Tribes Mission through my Dad who showed us when I was a child mission videos from time to time. I came to an understanding of the situation of the unreached by reading the book “What about those without the Gospel?”.Through talking with missionaries at an New Tribes Mission youth event in Berlin, Germany the existence of thousands of people groups without the Gospel became even more clear to me. There are over 200o people groups with different languages – about 340 million people – that have no knowledge and access to the Gospel. They are not reached with the Gospel because there are not enough missionaries. That was the time when I decided to be a part of God’s work among the unreached to bring the message of hope and salvation to them.
After our engagement we started thinking about going overseas into Tribal Missions.
Our church decided to support us on our way and we were able to move to the States after being married for three months.
We started the first part of the 3 1/2 year training with attending Bible school in 2011. From 2013 till mid 2015 we studied at the New Tribes Missionary Trainings Center where we learned things like phonetics, linguistics and other important teaching. We are back in Germany since June 2015 and are working hard to get ready for leaving to Papua New Guinea in July 2016.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zech 4,6
