Entering a New Stage in Life!

We were really excited when we received word from PNG this week telling us that we are officially part of the team! We received lots and lots of emails with information about what is needed to apply for work permits and visas… It seems like it will be a lengthy process with lots of paperwork, and we are hoping that the stuff we have to mail in will arrive safely in Papua New Guinea!

At the same time we are very thankful for the opportunity for Frieddy to teach the refugee small group at our church. Last Wednesday they went through creation (day 1-5) and are getting ready to hit the creation of man in two weeks. Please pray with us that it will be a time where we all get to know God better and grow closer to him and that those who are not saved yet will understand the Gospel!

Please also pray for the preparations for PNG that we will rest in God and that He will prepare the way for us.

Passport renewals are through!

Thank you all for your prayers! Even though our passport office had no open appointments anymore until February we were able to hand in our passport renewal application (which needs an appointment here in Berlin Germany) and will have our passports in about 3 weeks! We are so thankful that the Lord helped us and that we will be able to focus in the Visas for PNG next.

40% Towards Our Goal!

We are looking back on a great couple months. We moved to Germany from the US in May, and visited Frieddy’s brother in Sweden on our way to Germany. We had prayed for a car in Europe and God had provided a car in Sweden that we are still using right now. Praise God! 🙂 From Sweden we went down to Denmark where we took a ferry to get to Germany.

It took our boys especially Ben Elliot a while to adjust to German culture (and us too 🙂 and to the change in life, but thankfully they are really enjoying being here in Germany right now and are already excited about moving to PNG soon.

– Ben Elliot calls it “Papa and Guinea” –

We are full swing into partnership development now which includes lots of traveling, speaking in churches, meeting with people and many things more. On the side we need to do a lot of doctors visits, and we have to get a lot of immunizations and paperwork done. We are at 40% of our financial support goal, please keep praying that God would raise up more people who are willing to support us in our ministry. We are in the PNG application process and moving towards the visa application. It is super exciting to  finally be “really” preparing to go to Papua New Guinea!

We are incredibly thankful for how God has brought us through. He is good and He will do it. We are grateful for all of you who have stood behind us in prayer and in financial support all those years! We could not have done it without you!

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Heb 4:16

We made it back to Germany! After a long time of traveling and seeing many people we finally arrived in Germany! We are so thankful for how God helped us during the travel. We are super excited to see family and friends here again! We are feeling overwhelmed when we think about the year that is ahead of us here in Germany but we know that God is here. Please be in prayer for us as we prepare everything to move to PNG in summer 2016.

Ben Elliot’s Thankfulness Bag

They made this in child care last week. Ben Elliot's teacher asked them every day what they are thankful for and wrote it on sticky notes. She also added some treats to the bag. Ben Elliot was so excited that some of them didn't even make it on the photo... :)
